the year 2015 was awesome. It was great seeing everyone again. The AAC was held outside at Eco Lodge.
It was a bit chilly though. We had all sorts of fun activities
and we also got to know the new einsteins. We did the nature
walk where find yourself a spot in nature to think. It was an
amazing experience. You and Buzi were dearly missed at the

Hello I'm Jacqueline Snyman and I would like to thank you for
sponsoring me this year as a Cape Einstein.
Since I have been part of the Cape Einsteins foundation my life has
been growing and has really great progress especially in my
school work. I was in 2nd place in the top 20 achievers for the
first 3 terms and for this year I have achieved 1st place of all
the Grade 10's. I also got 5 diplomas (1st place in mathematics,
business studies, accounting and economics and 2nd place in
afrikaans).
My situation at home has been worsening since both my parents is
currently only working part time jobs and sometimes we have to
rely on family to help us but since I'm getting sponsored I
never have to worry about whether I'm going to have money for my
basic needs and for that I thank you from the bottom of my
heart.I had also learned alot on the camps and it had taught me
to not let my circumstances stand in the way of my success and I
used my circumstances as motivation to reach success.
This last weekend's workshop had also taught me alot and I enjoy
working with technology so it was very exciting for me. I also
learned alot about plastic and altough I don't like science that
session was very interesting.
I look forward for you to sponsor me for the next years and I
promise to keep up with my good work.

Spiering and Mr. Frank Marrenbach Thanking you for a
wonderful year. We had a workshop
the 1st and 8th Nov. at Stellenbosch University. This was
officially the last activities we had for this year with the
Cape Einsteins. It was great days and I enjoyed myself and
learned a lot. We were said to send
a e-mail and attach a "selfie" of ourselves but I've decided to
attach more pictures of this years memories. I want to take this
opportunity to thank you and tell you how I appreciate

The reason why I couldn't be there; I was elected to be Representitive at my College (SRC) so I had to make posters, prepare myself for interviews, ect. Today, this moment, I can Proudly say I won, I'm the new SRC 2013/2014 of my College. Its Funny, eventhought there's so much responsiblity now, with all the years me having experiences of being Head boy primary & high school. I feel like I Got this!! With the teambuilding & leadership skills & activities I've learned @camps I have so much confidence now. I Just want to say Thank you Cape Einsteins, for growing me, thank you... Tutoring sessions Dear Paul and Butzi I really enjoyed today's tutoring
sessions. We did not have CAT today, due to Mr Fransman having
to attend a funeral, but that was fine, because we were able to
look into some Gr.9 Maths before attending our own Gr.12
session. It was actually quite surprising to see that there were
some functions done in gr.9 that I did not remember today (now I
am fully reloaded) - this can help me during exams, because they
might just ask something from previous years and assume that I
remember it. Now I know to also go back on stuff that I did in
previous years, just to be safe during exams. I hope that the foundation continues with
the tutoring sessions for the rest of the year, but also in the
future. I am really benefiting from the sessions. It is
definitely adding to my determination to pass especially Maths.
I am really starting to look at Maths from a quite different,
positive perspective. Overall, I feel great after the past

Paul I believe everything is well with
both you and Butzi on the other side
of the equator. We, the cape
einsteins, are currently busy with
our last camp for 2011.
Florance,Rhonwyn and I had a
discussion with the rest of the
group on what improvements we should
make in 2012 regarding the camps. We
want it to be as much fun as
possible. The group on the other
hand states that they completely
enjoy the activities done by the UWC
mentors of Prof.Miki Flockermann. We
plan on going further with this fun,
yet educational activities. We aim
to do this, because of which the we
will all be much more enthusiastic
with our attendance.
The
“Senior
Einsteins”
will be more active in 2012 and we
will all make of this foundation
a bigger success than it currently
is. We also discussed the amount of
camps which we will have in 2012,but
I will give you more clarity on that
once we have reached our final
decision and heard your point of
view. In the future we want our
fellow learners,Hermanus and
Overberg, to join us at the CCMs.
they are missing out quite a lot.

I am done with my September
exams and am now busy preparing for

I have applied to the University of Stellenbosch for a MBChB degree (medical doctor) and I am proud to tell you that I have been accepted conditionally. This weekend was our third CAT
weekend for the year and it was
fantastic. Personaly I enjoyed it
alot.
It is really lovely to come together
as a group of young people and enjoy
yourself and each other's company.
It takes your mind off of all the
bad things that is happening
outside, while you are learning more
about each other and the world
outside. We were fortunate enough to
be visited by two people from two
universities. We are very fortunate
to have people like you, our co-sponsers
and Florance and the other Senior
Einsteins, standing behind our backs

Good afternoon Spierings.
We are at the CAT program today at
Kylemore High.Miss Storm gave us a quick chance to e-mail you so I
am taking this oppertunity to do so. I have learned a lot about
microsoft word today.Now I'll know more of what to do when I get an
Assignment.
I want to thank you for giving, not only me, but all the other kids
the oppertunity to became more computer literate. I could not attend
the program yesterday because I had Guitar lessons. Some of the boys
slept at my house and they seem to be very decent boys.They said my
mother makes them feel at home because she made us a huge breakfast
this morning.I am not sure if they are going home tonight or
tomorrow but if they go home tomorrow,I'm going to take them to a
jazz concert tonight.I'm looking forward to go to the concert
because one of the band members is my piano teacher.He is really
good and he showed me that there is a lot more to piano than just

RE: SPONSORSHIP OF ELTON NKANUNU
The
Spierings Foundation has made a huge contribution to the lives of a
few learners at our school for the past couple of years. We have
much admiration for Mr and Mrs Spierings who travel so far and open
their hearts to our learners who struggle financially, yet show
great academic potential. It is therefore with great dismay that we
have recently been informed about certain implied irregularities
concerning their sponsorship of Elton Nkanunu.
Elton has always been a special project of the Spierings Foundation,
as he is not academically strong, but has a beautiful operatic voice
which first drew the Spierings attention when he was singing on the
sidewalks in Hermanus to earn some money for himself and his
family.
In fact, it was the Spierings’ generosity and concern that got him
readmitted to our Hostel in 2008, even though his accommodation fees
are several years in arrears. It was the Spierings who tracked
Elton down when he did not return to school at the beginning of the
year (2008), and committed themselves to paying half of his hostel
fees for the year, on condition that he promised to pay the other
half.
The Spierings have been true to their word, but unfortunately
Elton’s mother has not kept her side of the bargain. Despite
repeated attempts, Elton’s mother has not made herself available for
a meeting at school so that this situation can be clarified.
However the Spierings continued their support of Elton in 2008.
We have come to know them as honorable people, and we
sincerely value their contribution to the lives of our learners here
at school.

Good afternoon to all of you ANGELS at
THE SPIERINGS FOUNDATION AND GIVE A CHILD A FUTURE
We are on the weekend camp at Kylemore High School and we are really
enjoying ourselves. The Instructors are very friendly and everything
is just perfect. Because we were not at school to send the e-mails
we were allowed to register ourselves on yahoo to be in contact with
you guys. I personally want to say thank very much for the
opportunity to go an such a wonderful camp. People like you deserve

Hey Paul.
It's Veronique Jumat from luckhoff secondary school.The first
weekend are amazing we've learned a lot of new stuff and also
experienced a lot of things.I take this oppurtunity to say thank you
for making this weekend possible for each of us.I made new friends
with the other schools girls. The girls were sleeping over at Miss
Storms house and enjoy it very much. But again thank you for
supporting us in different ways. Lots of love

RE: SPONSORSHIP OF ELTON NKANUNU
The
Spierings Foundation has made a huge contribution to the lives of a
few learners at our school for the past couple of years. We have
much admiration for Mr and Mrs Spierings who travel so far and open
their hearts to our learners who struggle financially, yet show
great academic potential. It is therefore with great dismay that we
have recently been informed about certain implied irregularities
concerning their sponsorship of Elton Nkanunu.
Elton has always been a special project of the Spierings Foundation,
as he is not academically strong, but has a beautiful operatic voice
which first drew the Spierings attention when he was singing on the
sidewalks in Hermanus to earn some money for himself and his
family.
In fact, it was the Spierings’ generosity and concern that got him
readmitted to our Hostel in 2008, even though his accommodation fees
are several years in arrears. It was the Spierings who tracked
Elton down when he did not return to school at the beginning of the
year (2008), and committed themselves to paying half of his hostel
fees for the year, on condition that he promised to pay the other
half.
The Spierings have been true to their
word, but unfortunately
Elton’s mother has not kept her side of the bargain. Despite
repeated attempts, Elton’s mother has not made herself available for
a meeting at school so that this situation can be clarified.
However the Spierings continued their support of Elton in 2008.
We have come to know them as honorable people, and we
sincerely value their contribution to the lives of our learners here
at school.

I would just like to update you on what's been happening at our school.
Veronique ´She also ended up amongst the top 20 Learners in gr.10 for the first term. She 's enjoying her spiritual dancing classes and they had a lovely concert on 30 May.2009
